It is a world heritage of Nara, the gate built between the main gate and the main house of the palace-styled architecture in the Fujiwara period of Yakushi-ji Temple. At the gate in the precincts south front, a king Brahma-Deva and Sakra dev-an-am Indra image is enshrined. The chaitya which Yakushiji prayed for the ill recovery of the Her Majesty Empress Uno Sagara that the Emperor Tenmu was the later Emperor Jitou for 680 years and founded in the ground of Asuka. It is appointed in world's cultural heritage as cultural assets of ancient city Nara. | |
