It is a world heritage, the great statue of Buddha of Todai-ji Temple of Nara. It is completed (Tenbyoshoho era four years) on April 9 for 752 years. In Todai-ji Temple, a bell temple founded at (733 years), the young grass foot of a mountain for Tenbyo era five years is considered to be the origin, and a principal idol has Vairocana known as this "great statue of Buddha of Nara". At about 14.7 meters in height, circumference 70 meters of the foundation stone, as for the head, in the Edo era, the body part, most are the Muromachi era from the Kamakura era. The part of the Tempyo period is left to the pedestals partly. | |
